I went back to the Headlands today.  The sun was out when I got there, but then quickly disappeared when the fog rolled in.  I focused on loose brush strokes, since there wasn't a strong shadow situation happening, with the fog and all.  I was all loosened up when I started the second painting and I think it shows.  The whole painting just flowed together and you got a glimpse of blue sky over in Sausalito under a thick layer of fog - it was pretty.  I'm excited about tomorrow's paintings -  I hope I can start the day all loosened up.
